Trip Highlights
The Winging
A week of winging is one of the fastest ways to build skills and confidence—and our beginner-friendly camps are designed to make it fun, supportive, and completely approachable. Whether you’ve never picked up a wing before or you’re working on taking your riding to the next step, you’ll feel right at home here. All levels are welcome, and no experience is required—just a willingness to learn and play on the water.
We’ll spend time on the water every day (conditions permitting) with hands-on guidance, extra support, and personalized tips to jump-start your progression. Our goal is to give you consistent feedback, thoughtful coaching, and plenty of space to practice at your own pace.
Example trip goals:
Learn to wing from the very beginning
Gain confidence on the water
Meet new friends and share the stoke
Get comfortable on the foil
Try riding toeside
Start progressing upwind—and more!
Daily Yoga
Our camps include daily yoga led by experienced instructors who bring a rich background of training and a unique blend of styles to each class.
Each day’s session is tuned to meet the needs of the group—whether that’s energizing Vinyasa, grounding Yin, or deeply restorative practices. Yoga is the perfect complement to windsports, helping you build strength, improve balance, and recover so you can feel amazing both on and off the water.
Community & Connection
At the heart of our camps is community. We believe women thrive when they come together in a supportive, uplifting environment—one that celebrates progress, big or small, and values connection as much as skill. Through shared sessions on the water, group meals, and meaningful conversations, you’ll build friendships that last far beyond camp. Our philosophy is simple: when women support each other, confidence grows, joy multiplies, and adventure becomes even more powerful.

About La Ventana, Mexico
The Village
La Ventana is a laid-back fishing village & windsports epicenter located on the Baja California Sur peninsula, just 2.5 hours from Cabo San Lucas and situated on the Sea of Cortez. As the thermal picks up around mid-morning, the wind funnels between the mainland and Cerralvo Island and blows side onshore consistently from November to April. The Sea of Cortez has been referred to as “the world’s aquarium” due to the abundance of sea life.
The Wind
The peak of the windy season is December to March. It is typically a mid day thermal that gets accelerated by a venturi effect as the wind sucks onshore between the island and mainland. Typical sessions start around 11am and last until the sun starts to set at about 6pm. The wind is side-on-shore from the Northeast direction.
The Water
La Ventana’s waters stay comfortable through the season, with temps averaging 68–72°F. The bay’s wide, sandy launch makes it beginner friendly and easy to access. Close to shore, you’ll find manageable chop for learning and progressing, while farther out rolling wind swell provides plenty of play for more advanced riders. With minimal obstacles and tons of open water, it’s a safe and welcoming spot to ride for all levels.
The Lodging
The Kite House at Casa Cortez is located directly on the waterfront. With our own beach launch you are able to set sail directly from our doorstep. After a long windy day on the water, relax poolside or soak your sore muscles in the hot tub.
