Intro to Wing Camp (All-Women's): Designed to give you the skills, support, and confidence to dive into winging. With a small, supportive crew of women, you'll get hands-on coaching, off-the-water tips, and everything you need to get into this wonderful sport!

Intermediate Wing Camp (All-Women's): Ready to take your winging to the next level? This camp is ideal for riders seeking to refine their technique, master tacks and jibes, and advance their progression with expert coaching.

Coed Wing Camp: Join a mixed group of riders for a fun, inclusive camp experience where everyone learns and progresses together, think swell-riding, tacks and intermediate wing skills. Led by pro athlete Brandon Scheid.

All camps offer personalized instruction, a supportive atmosphere, and the incredible conditions that make Hood River one of the best places in the world to wing!

Camp Highlights

The Winging

Hood River & the greater Columbia Gorge is the epicenter for kiteboarding in the PNW. It’s windy almost every day in the Summer and conditions range from steady 20’s to strong and gusty. This will be an empowering group setting for women to learn to wing! Specific location is subject to change depending on conditions.

This weekend is for beginner and intermediate riders.

Lunch from Local Fave

We believe good food fuels great sessions. That’s why we provide a fresh, healthy lunch from one of our favorite local lunch spots—made with seasonal ingredients and plenty of flavor. Drinks are included, so all you have to do is show up, relax, and enjoy a nourishing meal that keeps you energized for the afternoon on the water.

This is what two days can do

We hear this a lot: “I can’t believe how much I progressed.” Here’s what our campers actually say.

  • Sophia Miller

A few days after the clinic wrapped up, I started this downwinder in difficult conditions with a group of much more experienced kiters - and I surprised them and myself with the level I’m at now.

  • Susie Miller

I felt comfortable expressing what made me nervous and then learned the skills to overcome my fears!

  • Beth Myers

I am typically fairly skeptical of these kinds of camps. I am completely converted. This is not your typical women’s camp!

Daily Itinerary

9:00 — Goal setting & morning brief We kick off together for the most important part of the day. This is where we learn where you're at, what you're working toward, and build your personalized progression plan for the day.

11:00 — Morning session Into the water! Your coach is out there with you, watching, adjusting, and giving you real-time feedback as you work toward your goals.

1:00 — Lunch Fresh, local, and yummy. We eat together, review our wins, and recharge for round two.

2:00 — Afternoon session You'll be surprised by what you can do in the afternoon that felt impossible in the morning. Your body is learning!

5:00 — Dinner We may be tired, but we close with intention. Saturday night dinner is where the real community happens.

Schedule is subject to weather and may be adjusted accordingly — we always put conditions first.

The Town

Hood River, Oregon, is a small but vibrant town nestled along the Columbia River Gorge, about 60 miles east of Portland. It's known for its stunning natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and a unique blend of small-town charm with a growing cultural scene. Hood River is often referred to as the "Wind Surfing Capital of the World." Its location on the Columbia River, combined with strong, consistent winds, makes it a prime spot for windsurfing and kiteboarding.

This makes the area a prime spot for wind-powered sports. The predominant winds in the summer are west to east winds that come from the Pacific Ocean, funneled through the Columbia River Gorge. In the morning, the wind tends to be lighter and more variable, but it picks up speed as the day goes on, typically reaching its peak in the afternoon.

The Water

The Columbia River can warm up to 60°F to 70°F (15°C to 21°C) during the summer months. This makes it quite refreshing, especially for activities like windsurfing, kiteboarding, wingfoiling.
